Application Manager

As an Application Manager, you will work directly with multiple application teams to configure, deploy, test, and support in-house written microservices/applications across our global environments. Responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing the configuration of microservices using git and YAML for deployment into global edge environments.
2. Managing the deployment of new or updated microservices into edge environments.
3. Diagnosing issues across your running services using technologies such as MSSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and Docker.
4. Performing extended diagnostics with monitoring and logging tools like Grafana, Loki, and Mimir to identify root causes of issues.
5. Communicating with on-premise support regarding service changes and providing training on new features as needed.
6. Creating and maintaining training materials and documentation for the services you deploy and own.
7. Reporting bugs or issues to Technical Product Owners or Developers when they cannot be resolved through diagnostics.
8. Coordinating technically between developers and on-site support until issues are resolved.

Your Profile

• A degree in computer science, business informatics, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-5 years of experience with IT infrastructure or server administration (Windows, Linux, Virtualization, Networking, Security).
• Basic knowledge of microservice architecture, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with or basic working knowledge of MSSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Windows, and Linux.
• Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork skills and a customer- and service-oriented mindset.
• Bonus: prior experience supporting in-house written applications or microservices.
