Were looking for a proactive and experienced Application Engineer C&I Turnkey Solutions to join our team and make a significant impact on the future of our company. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design of our C&I turnkey offers.
You will play a key role in executing our new turnkey solution business in Europe, focusing on small to midsized commercial and industrial solar and storage installations.
Main responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of all phases of a turnkey PVBESS project
- Analyze customer requirements and technical constraints to ensure feasibility and alignment with project goals
- Design optimal system sizes based on available space, roof profile / usable area, and lowest Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), considering the customer's electricity consumption and costs
- Clearly define technical assumptions, exclusions, and project scope
- Create plant layouts and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for system components
- Assess and evaluate the technical deliverables of potential subcontractors and partners
- Identify battery limits and delineate the scope of works between multiple stakeholders
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including customers, Business Development Managers, Sales Managers, and the Commercial Manager (Budget & Design)
- Contribute to the development of standardized materials for future proposals

Languages
- Fluent in English (German or other European languages would be a plus)

Your backpack is filled with
- 5 years of practical experience in PVBESS design / application engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in LCOE calculations, plant layout (including circuit sizing, grounding, lighting protection), & SLD
- Proficiency in relevant design software e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD
- Ability to travel as required (up to 25%, percentages will vary)
