Hesai LiDAR is a leading technology company specializing in LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) systems for ADAS, autonomous vehicles, and robotics applications. Our advanced LiDAR solutions empower the automotive industry and other sectors to achieve safer and more reliable autonomous navigation.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Application Engineer to join our team. This role is primarily focused on providing pre / after-sales technical support & training to customers, while it is also required to undertake partial responsibilities as a Sales Account Manager, including customer relationship management and product marketing activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and business acumen with relevant industry experience, ensuring we meet our ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Pre-Sales Support : Assist the sales team with product demos and provide technical support during the pre-sales process, targeting to address customers’ potential needs and expectations in autonomous driving, robotics, and security application scenarios.
  • Technical Support : Offer high quality technical assistance to customers and distributors located in Europe and Middle East regions, ensuring prompt solutions to any product or service-related inquiries; support customers to troubleshoot lidar-related issues during their applications, work closely with Hesai HQ team to provide effective root cause analysis and solutions to the customers in a timely manner.
  • Customer and Distributor Training : Develop and deliver training programs for customers and distributors to ensure they are fully equipped to use and support Hesai products effectively.
  • Community Management : Create engaging video content for customers and distributors to enhance their connection with Hesai and increase engagement and understanding of product features; assist in product marketing activities to drive revenue growth.
  • Sales Development and Account Management : Assist the sales team on business related tasks, contributing to the team’s sales quota and margin goals through targeted account development and customer relationship management.
  • Provide on-site support to customers as required (customer meeting, product demo and etc.). Travel up to 50%.

Qualifications :

  • BS / MS in Science, Engineering or related field.
  • 3~5 years of technical support experience is required. Strong hands-on ability is preferred.
  • Sales, marketing or other business related experience is required, preferably in robotics, sensors, or related technologies.
  • Some level of software experience is required. Experience with ROS / SDK is a plus.
  • Global support experience is preferred, with the ability to work flexibly and adapt to the China timezone.
  • Experience with lidar product is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills is preferred, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented attitude; reliable, responsible, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
