Application Engineer

Pacific International has been exclusively retained to support a market leader with a global presence across 40 Countries that specializes in the development and production of materials and technology solutions for the steel and foundry industries.

They are currently seeking an Application Engineer to provide exceptional value to customers while driving sustainable competitive advantage for the organization. Working closely with multiple departments, the Application Engineer will be instrumental in maintaining, developing, and launching innovative technical solutions that support the company’s sales strategy. Additionally, they will contribute to business growth and help identify new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Support Account Managers in crafting and executing tailored sales strategies for key accounts, including preparing detailed account plans and networking strategies.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, strategic visits, and participation in industry events to expand networks.
• Act as a trusted technical expert, analyzing market needs and competitive offerings to uncover sales opportunities and guide product development.
• Deliver product demonstrations, training, and support to ensure customer satisfaction while highlighting the company’s unique value proposition.
• Propose new products and extensions by understanding customer processes and unmet needs, and lead validation and launches at lab and production levels.
• Embody the company’s core values by fostering learning, transparency, and open feedback with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the foundry market with a solid understanding of foundry processes and consumable requirements.
• Specialized knowledge in at least one product line (e.g., Coating, Binder, Methoding / Feeding and Filtration, Ferrous Metal Treatment / Inoculation, and clean steel).
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in project management and the ability to address complex technical challenges
• Fluency in both German and English
• Ability to work in cross-functional project teams
• Basic Commercial Skills
