Job summary

GibbsCAM in Germany seeks an Application Engineer to support customers with GibbsCAM. You will train, consult and assist in programming complex components for milling, turning and multi-task machining.

The role involves remote, onsite and Ettlingen office engagement, working with international teams. Fluent German and strong English are required, with flexibility to travel within Germany and abroad as needed.

Qualifications

• Completed technical or vocational training in metalworking, machining or a comparable technical field.
• A further qualification as a master craftsman, technician or engineer would be an advantage.
• Experience with CNC machining, particularly milling and turning.
• Experience using a CAM programming system; GibbsCAM or Virtual Gibbs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GibbsCAM training courses at the Ettlingen office, at customer sites and via remote sessions.
• Act as a key technical contact for GibbsCAM and Virtual Gibbs users.
• Provide technical consulting and application support for programming complex components.
• Assist customers with milling, turning and multi-task machining applications.
• Support customers by phone, email and web-based channels.
• Share best practices in CNC machining and contribute to training materials.

You will provide technical guidance, deliver training and support customers in programming complex components and manufacturing processes.You will work closely with our customers, sales organization and international technical support teams. ## Your key responsibilities* Deliver GibbsCAM training courses at our Ettlingen office, at customer sites and through remote web sessions.* Act as a key technical contact for customers using GibbsCAM and Virtual Gibbs.* Provide technical consulting and application support for the programming of complex components.* Assist customers with milling, turning and multi-task machining applications.* Support customers by phone, email and web-based communication channels.* Share practical knowledge and best practices in CNC machining.* Contribute to the continuous improvement of training concepts, technical documentation and training materials.* Work closely with the German sales team and the international GibbsCAM support organization. ## Your profile* Completed technical or vocational training in metalworking, machining or a comparable technical field.* A further qualification as a master craftsman, technician or engineer would be an advantage.* Practical experience in CNC machining, particularly milling and turning.* Experience with complex mill-turn or multi-task machines, including multiple channels, turrets, sub-spindles or B-axis configurations, would be an advantage.* Knowledge of Swiss-style machining is desirable but not essential.* Experience using a CAM programming system.
