The Subject Matter Expert SAP Development is responsible for developing individual solutions for the new SAP S/4HANA environment using the SAP development platform. The development process includes reviewing requirements, creating solution concepts, development, testing, and documentation. The SME ensures high quality in the solutions developed.

The SME consults the Solution Architect as a technical expert to develop solutions for business requirements.

Your tasks

Main Accountabilities

1. Review requirements and create solution concepts.
2. Develop, test, and document solutions.
3. Use SAP ABAP development platform (e.g., SAP Workbench, ABAP) and standards (e.g., User Exits or BAPIs).
4. Utilize new SAP development tools like Eclipse and SAP Business Application Studio.
5. Develop or modify Fiori Apps, Reports, CDS views, and interfaces (SAP part).
6. Perform ABAP code reviews, modifications, and debugging.
7. Perform ATC checks to ensure a Clean-Core Strategy for external developments.
8. Ensure high quality in the developed solutions.
9. Consult the Solution Architect as a technical expert.
10. Support training of 2 in-house SAP consultants in CDS Views and Fiori.
11. Provide 2nd level support for Enterprise Applications.
12. Coordinate 3rd level support.
13. Participate in projects.
14. Take responsibility for the Clean-Core Strategy of all developments in the SAP RISE project (private cloud).

Your profile

Training/Education:

1. Proven expertise in ABAP.
2. Proven expertise in Fiori and CDS view development.
3. Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform development tools.
4. Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA structure.
5. Knowledge of Extensibility Options in S/4HANA and Clean-Core Strategy.
6. Proficiency in English and German.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of practical professional experience in SAP.
