For one of our clients we are looking for a freelance Apparel Lab Testing Specialist.

Short description of the project:
Testing of high performance innovation material concepts. The project has the purpose to validate concept readiness prior to brand sign off.

Tasks:

Research/Engineering/Standards:

1. Execution of research and creation of new test methodologies and equipment independently and based on own expertise and onsite machine standards. Share research and test results with client via XLS report.

Laboratory Testing:

1. During the introduction phase, contractor will be introduced into client specific standard test methods.
2. Prior to the execution of physical tests in the lab, participation of health and safety training and machine introduction is put in place.
3. Handover of the testing material and requested test methods through smartsheet tool.
4. Execution of specified physical material, component and finished good tests (timelines see below) and based on the latest testing standards shared and explained by the client upfront in week 1.
5. Independent evaluation and interpretation of test results based on own expertise and documentation via scientific XLS reports (template will be provided by client upfront), and PPT summaries shared via email.
6. Translation of test results into recommendations documented via XLS or PPT report for material, component and product development.
7. Independent study of material and testing science to be able to provide meaningful consultancy for the client.
8. Communication of test results through comprehensive presentations in PowerPoint, shared with client stakeholders via personal presentation in project update meetings, maximum once per week.
9. Update, adjustment and enhancement of existing test methods, templates and standards shared by the client upfront.
10. Handover of every documentation, report, presentation to client for approval.
11. The performance of the contractor has the goal: Validation of high performance innovation material concepts.
