Job summary

Codex in Cologne is looking for an AP Accountant to join our Finance team. This role offers exposure to German and EU VAT, cross-border transactions, and process improvements in a highly international environment.

You will manage German and international invoices, VAT, reconciliations and collaborate with overseas finance teams. The position is hybrid with benefits including generous leave and employee perks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable.
• Strong knowledge of German and EU VAT regulations.
• Experience with international transactions and reverse charge.
• C1+ German and English.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another major ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Managing German and international invoices, vendor accounts and payment runs
• Handling German and EU VAT, including cross-border transactions and reverse charge
• Performing reconciliations, settlements and bank postings
• Supporting travel expenses and selected AR activities
• Working closely with suppliers and international Finance teams
• Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes

I’m partnering with a leading international European business to find an AP Accountant to join its Finance team in Cologne.

This is an opportunity to move beyond routine invoice processing, with exposure to German and EU VAT, cross-border transactions, GL accounting and finance process improvements within a highly international environment.

What are we looking for?
