This role will manage a challenging and complex caseload involving Council tenancies, delivering a high quality, proactive and effective ASB management service, responsible for taking prompt and proportionate action to investigate reports of ASB, assess risk and vulnerability, gather evidence and implement appropriate interventions to resolve cases successfully.

Working closely with tenants, internal departments and external partner agencies, including Police and support services, you will build and maintain strong professional relationships to achieve positive outcomes, safeguard vulnerable individuals and improve the quality of life for our communities. The role requires excellent communication, problem-solving and case management skills, alongside the ability to utilise a range of informal and formal enforcement tools where necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Investigating reports of high-harm ASB and tenancy breaches.
  • Assessing risk and vulnerability, ensuring victims and perpetrators receive appropriate support.
  • Developing and implementing action plans to resolve cases effectively.
  • Gathering evidence, conducting interviews and maintaining accurate case records.
  • Preparing, and serving, legal documentation and supporting legal proceedings including attendance at Court, where required.
  • Working closely with Police, support agencies and community partners.
  • Attending and facilitating multi-agency meetings and representing the Council where required.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Contributing to the delivery of a high-quality housing and community service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who:
  • Has the knowledge and experience of tackling high level anti-social behaviour, housing management or community safety cases.
  • Has a good understanding of legislation and the use of the formal, and informal, tools and powers under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014
  • Has excellent communication skills working confidently with tenants, partners and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates excellent investigative, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Is resilient and able to manage challenging situations professionally.
  • Has proven experience of building strong working relationships with customers, colleagues and external partners
  • Can maintain accurate records and produce high-quality reports and witness statements.
  • Is educated to 'A' level standard or equivalent and has 3 years' experience working in a Tenancy Management or ASB role in social housing.
  • Holds a full driving licence.

Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.

DBS clearance is required for this role.

This is a hybrid working role (with a minimum of 2 days per week working in the office).
