Job Overview

Healthcare Professionals are needed to provide medical services to support the Medical Treatment Facilities and Health Clinics within the U.S. Army Medical Command, Regional Health Command Europe, and other Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, including the US Navy and US Air Forces in Europe.

Qualifications

• Degree: Certificate
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent with additional training or education; supplemented with one (1) year of related experience in an accredited healthcare hospital, familiar with hospital or clinic routines and procedures in anesthesia, surgeries, or pain management procedures.
• Certification: Obtain Basic Life Support certification by the American Heart Association and/or Red Cross approved training before the contract start date.
• Experience: Provide documentation and references showing at least 1 year of clinical experience within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Prepare examination and procedure rooms before patient arrival.
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
• Check vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, and blood pressure.
• Document the patient's medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs accurately.
• Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance, and initiate emergency interventions as directed.
• Support diagnostic tests and procedures, including preparing patients, handling instruments, and ensuring supplies.
• Orient peers and staff to policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Promote a healthy work environment to improve patient healthcare.

DOCPER/SOFA/Logistical Support Status

This position is eligible for support under NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental articles 72 or 73.
