EWE TRADING GmbH, Market Support, Analysis Team is seeking an

Analyst (w/d/m) with a focus on Fundamental Analysis

for modeling the energy market of the coming decades.

Your new tasks:

Are you looking for more than just a job but a challenge? Do you know the European energy markets, have an interest in the energy transition, and are familiar with mathematical modeling?

  • Work on developing and refining EWE's long-term energy market scenarios
  • Contribute significantly to the further development of the fundamental model (focus on electricity and renewable energies)
  • Conduct scenario modeling and ensure related workflows. Develop and implement necessary tools and automation features, and ensure the quality of results
  • Derive insights on trends and uncertainties in long-term energy market developments from model results
  • Present findings to the management board and other committees within a cross-company team

What you bring to us:

  • A degree in mathematics, physics, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
  • At least two years of experience in energy trading, electricity production, or similar in the energy sector, with experience in mathematical modeling
  • Deep understanding of the European energy market and excellent programming skills (preferably in Python). Experience with modern cloud infrastructure is desirable
  • Analytical, structured, and independent working style to complete work packages
  • Fluent German and English (C1) language skills required
  • Open communication with team members is natural for you
