Qualifications
- Newly (or soon to be) graduated, or 1–2 years of experience in advisory, corporate finance, real estate investments, management consulting or similar.
- Excellent financial modelling skills, and advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent spoken and written skills in German and English.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, real estate, or similar, with strong academic performance.
- Proficiency in English and German.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite investments and ownership of the performance projection of each investment in the portfolio.
- Monitor investment performance vs. business plans, identify root causes, and propose actions ahead.
- Prepare analysis to identify and optimize operational and financial performance, focusing on performance-enhancing actions.
- Analyze the overall portfolio performance and potential value drivers.
- Develop investment and exit strategy together with team.
- Conduct market analysis to drive investment decision making.

Portfolio Management acts as the glue between different functions, sitting at the intersection of transactions, asset management, and strategy. The team plays a key role in setting investment strategies, validating new investment opportunities, owning and maximizing the performance of investments after acquisition, setting the exit strategy, and preparing assets for exit. The Frankfurt team, which is under development, focuses on managing our German portfolio consisting of assets in different real estate sectors. The team collaborates closely with German and international teams across the organization, notably transaction teams during acquisitions and divestments, asset management throughout the holding period, and with other teams whenever needed, e.g. fund management, investor relations, and debt financing.
You will join a high-performing team with backgrounds in real estate investments.. The purpose of the role is to analyse and underwrite investment and portfolio performance of Urban Partners’ German real estate portfolio, drive business plan progress and identify value add levers and corrective actions where needed. Furthermore, the role also needs to do market analysis to support investment strategy, drive value creation as well as exits across all Urban Partners’ funds. The candidate will work closely with and report to the Head of Portfolio Management, Germany.

- Newly (or soon to be) graduated, alternatively having 1-2 years of experience within advisory, corporate finance, real estate investments, management consulting or similar. Real estate experience is not required, but is seen as an advantage
- Excellent financial modelling skills, and extensive experience with and advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent spoken and written skills in German and English
- Project management skills, including competency in coordinating with people from different teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a preference for a Master’s level degree, in finance, economics, engineering, real estate, or similar, with strong academic performance
