Zusammenfassung

An der Hochschule Reutlingen wird ein:e Akademische:r Mitarbeiter:in für das Forschungsprojekt Plasma4Sens gesucht, das sich mit der Validierung eines Plasma-Sensors zur Quantifizierung schädlicher Gase befasst. Die Stelle bietet kreative Freiräume und Verantwortung in einem interdisziplinären Team und die Chance, innovative Lösungen für die Wasserstoffqualitätskontrolle zu entwickeln. Die Beschäftigung ist zunächst bis zum 30. Juni 2027 befristet mit Aussicht auf Verlängerung.

Qualifikationen

At Hochschule Reutlingen, innovation meets tradition. We work on topics that move science, industry, and the world, including digital transformation, sustainable product development, and interdisciplinary research. We offer a position in the innovative research project Plasma4Sens, which involves validating a plasma sensor for quantifying harmful gases in hydrogen and adapting it to standards DIN EN 17124 and ISO 14687. The project is embedded in an interdisciplinary team, providing ample creative freedom and organizational responsibility. The position is to be filled as soon as possible within the Reutlingen Research Institute:

What You Will Shape
  • Develop, validate, and optimize an innovative plasma-based sensor system for detecting trace impurities in hydrogen according to DIN EN 17124 and ISO 14687.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team at the intersection of science and practice, contributing your own ideas.
  • Take organizational responsibility within the project and actively shape its processes and structure.
  • Contribute significantly to translating research results into practical, economically viable solutions.
  • This project offers creative freedom and the opportunity to deepen your expertise in a highly relevant research field, directly contributing to making hydrogen quality assurance more efficient and cost-effective as a key energy carrier of the energy transition.
What You Bring
  • Completed university degree (Master/Diploma) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a comparable natural science/technical field.
  • Proven experience in conducting and analyzing experiments independently, ideally in gas analytics or chromatographic techniques.
  • Knowledge in developing, packing, and optimizing separation columns and their analytical characterization.
  • Solid understanding of static experimental design (DoE) and multivariate data analysis for complex datasets.
  • Proficiency with analytical methods (e.g., gas chromatography, spectroscopy) and common analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
  • Independent, structured working style, team-oriented, with interest in shaping innovative sensor solutions at the interface of chemistry and technology.
