Job Responsibilities
- Coordination and oversight of all tasks related to type investigation in collaboration with internal stakeholders and the competent authority.
- Advising all departments within the design organization on issues related to airworthiness, operational suitability, environmental protection approvals, and certification.
- Preparation of the Certification Programme in close cooperation with the engineering department, compliance verification engineers, and the competent authority.
- Ensuring all compliance documents are prepared to demonstrate adherence to the certification programme and releasing these documents.
- Preparation of the V&V Plan / V&V Matrix.
- Conducting internal training for the design organization regarding the design assurance system and regulations.
- Monitoring rulemaking activities and incorporating regulatory changes into the design organization manual, procedures, and forms.
- Supporting activities related to continued airworthiness.
- Participating in design organization management and audits.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in aeronautical engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
- Proven experience as an airworthiness office engineer.
- Strong knowledge of initial airworthiness and modifications to type certificates of aircraft.
- Thorough understanding of EASA Part-21 and related certification specifications.
- Conscientious and detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent command of English; German skills are a plus.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
