Gulp AG in Manching seeks a Composite Engineer (m/f/d) in Materials & Processes to shape our aerospace composites strategy and materials selection. You will define and harmonize material and process specifications, support design and manufacturing with technical insights, ensure EHS and REACH compliance, and assist with certification through First Part Qualification.

Fluent German and English are required; security clearance Ü2 may be needed.

Competenze

• Master's or Diploma in aerospace, mechanical engineering, composites or equivalent.

For our client in Manching, we are seeking a Composite Engineer (m/f/d) Materials & Processes who wants to utilize their talents and make a difference. Responsibilities include: Defining technology strategies, principles, and concepts in the field of composite technologies; Developing and harmonizing robust material and process specifications for composite technologies; Creating and providing material and manufacturing selection lists (Standard Selection Lists); Providing material and process characteristics of composite materials to the development and design departments; Defining and validating manufacturing process simulation tools to ensure production-ready materials and production processes; Supporting and ensuring the component certification process through First Part Qualifications; Ensuring compliance with relevant EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) regulations, including REACH compliance and eco-efficient process standards; Providing technical support and advice to the manufacturing, design, and in-service departments on process- and material-specific issues.

• Successfully completed studies (at least Master's or Diploma) in the field of aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, composites or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience (at least 3 years) in the aerospace industry
• Sound knowledge in the field of aircraft design and the associated aeronautical engineering requirements.
• Experience in defining and conducting test programs, including interface coordination with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Proficient use of MS Office; experience with CAD systems and practical experience in a laboratory environment are advantageous.
• Initial experience in the field of environmentally relevant compliance regulations (e.g. REACH) as well as knowledge of work package management and reporting.
• Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
• Independent, structured work style and strong communication skills
• Willingness to undergo security clearance (Ü2-relevant)
