For the Solutions Development Team of Airbus Cyber Programmes, we are looking for a Cyber Security System Engineer (d/m/w). The Cyber Division of Airbus Defence and Space is a European specialist in cyber security for defence and aerospace assets and systems. More than 450 cyber experts in our offices in France, Germany, the UK, and Spain develop products and solutions based on state-of-the-art, trusted technologies. Our mission is to design, develop, integrate, and deliver tailored cyber security products and solutions for defence, government, and institutional customers, providing operational support throughout the system life cycle.
Your location: Our Ottobrunn/Taufkirchen location is near Munich, Bavaria. Enjoy outdoor activities with the Alps and Lake Starnberg just an hour away. Alternatively, work at our sites in Immenstaad/Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance or in Bremen near the North Sea.

Your tasks and responsibilities: Responsible for defining security requirements and concepts, supporting system architecture on cybersecurity design, assessing and selecting security products, developing and adapting baseline configurations for system hardening, conducting vulnerability and risk assessments, and simulating attack scenarios with remediation strategies.
Desired skills and qualifications: Degree in computer science or vocational training in IT (e.g., IT specialist, Cybersecurity Specialist), good knowledge of security products and communication protocols, ability to define system hardening baselines, verification procedures, knowledge of security concepts (Zero Trust, Secure by Default, Multilayer Security), system programming skills (PowerShell, Shell, Python), excellent English communication skills (German and Spanish are a plus), team-oriented and structured work approach. Knowledge of aerospace or safety domains is advantageous.
