Job description

Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) Commodity Buyer: Definition and implementation of a targeted procurement strategy for the assigned commodity group. Establishment of meaningful metrics and targets for evaluating and managing supplier performance. Structured selection and qualification of suppliers, including, if necessary, leading and coordinating cross-functional project teams. Development and negotiation of contracts, monitoring of contract compliance, and continuous contract amendment and claim management. Regular review, evaluation, and further development of supplier processes, capacities, supply chains, and commercial and environmental standards. Initiation and management of supplier development initiatives regarding quality, on-time delivery, and terms. Risk management for the proactive assessment of economic and capacity-related supply risks, including the development and follow-up of action plans.

• Successfully completed studies in the field of business administration, economics, industrial engineering or engineering (at least a Bachelor's degree)
• Several years of professional experience (at least 3 years) in purchasing, supply chain management and contract management
• Proven experience in active stakeholder management and interface coordination
• Solid knowledge of project management and change management
• Excellent user knowledge of SAP R/3 and experience with Google Workspace
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, for an international work environment
• A high degree of responsibility, analytical thinking skills, and willingness to travel occasionally within Germany (approximately once a month)
