AI will help scale and enhance our human-centered teaching approach. We are seeking a talented AI Software Engineer (all genders) to join as a founding member of our AI team. You will support our ambition to create a continuous learning experience and the best learning environment in the world.

Your mission with us: As an AI Software Engineer at Lingoda, you will work alongside Prompt Engineers to develop AI proof of concepts and scalable solutions, such as integrating LLMs and AI services, building APIs, and creating front-end interactions. You will develop AI solutions to support our teachers and students, prototype full-stack AI solutions, and stay connected with the latest AI research and developments.

Your tasks:

1. Work with AI prompt engineers and product designers to design AI proof of concepts and prototypes.
2. Develop rapid full-stack POCs/Prototypes (backend and frontend).
3. Create scalable, maintainable versions of successful POCs.
4. Create APIs for integration with our main platform.
5. Integrate with external LLMs, Vector Databases, and AI services from AWS, GCP, OpenAI, etc.
6. Collaborate with DevOps on deployment, CI, and security.

You bring to Lingoda:

• Experience developing AI solutions using LLM-based products and approaches.
• Experience with LLM APIs and integration into applications.
• Understanding of NLP concepts, libraries (spaCy, NLTK, transformers).
• Proficiency with backend (Node, PHP/Symfony/Doctrine/MySQL) and frontend (React) technologies.
• Good Python skills.
• Knowledge of OOP, design patterns, modern architecture.
• Experience with TDD and BDD.
• 4+ years of web software development experience.
• Passion for code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent English (C-level).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
