Indra is the central program driving the introduction and safe scaling of AI at DB. Its focus is to identify AI potential across various banking operations, drive funded use cases into production to create value and confidence, and scale across the bank. The program aims to create shared services with embedded safety to enable low-cost scaling, develop an AI Workbench for developers to ensure safe AI development at pace, and introduce AI controls while maintaining time to market.

As an AI/ML Product Manager, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution for an AI-powered shared service within the bank. You will define and prioritize product roadmaps and use cases, working closely with data scientists, engineers, business stakeholders, and control functions to deliver scalable and high-impact AI solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and stakeholder management to drive adoption, ensure compliance, and enhance AI services to meet evolving needs.

Your key responsibilities

1. Work with AI use cases across the bank to create impactful, scalable AI shared services.
2. Maintain the product roadmap for AI shared services, ensuring alignment with business priorities and user needs.
3. Apply design thinking principles to understand user needs, explore problem spaces, and ensure AI shared services are intuitive, scalable, and impactful.
4. Drive rapid Proof-of-Concept (PoC) development, collaborating with engineering and business teams to test ideas, validate value, and iterate quickly.
5. Work closely with data scientists and engineering teams to develop, enhance, and scale AI services, ensuring high performance, cost optimization, and reliability.
6. Manage the backlog and prioritization process, balancing feature enhancements, technical debt, and compliance requirements.
7. Ensure AI services are designed and deployed within the bank’s regulatory, risk, and control frameworks.
8. Establish and track key success metrics, ensuring continuous improvement based on usage data and feedback.
9. Stay updated on AI, automation, data science, and machine learning trends in banking, identifying opportunities for innovation.

Your skills and experience

1. Several years of experience as a product manager, preferably in AI and machine learning within financial services or a regulated industry.
2. Experience in design thinking and rapid PoC development, with a track record of testing, validating, and scaling AI innovations.
3. Strong technical understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including model development, deployment, and governance.
4. Experience working with engineering teams in an agile environment, managing backlogs, writing user stories, and prioritizing features.
5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-informed decisions.
6. Knowledge of regulatory, risk, and compliance frameworks relevant to AI adoption in banking.
7. Ability to craft compelling product narratives, including roadmaps and presentations, to drive awareness and adoption.
8. Business fluency in English.
