Zusammenfassung

BMW Group sucht eine erfahrene Fachkraft für AI‑Infrastruktur zur Gestaltung, Bereitstellung und dem Betrieb produktionsreifer AI‑Systeme. Sie arbeiten an Cloud‑ und Hardware‑Lösungen, skalieren GPU‑Cluster, implementieren Observability und sorgen für sicheres Plattform‑Engineering.

Voraussetzungen sind ein Abschluss in Informatik oder vergleichbar sowie ≥4 Jahre relevante Berufserfahrung, ideal mit PyTorch, Kubernetes und CI/CD. Einsatzort ist München, Vollzeit.

Qualifikationen

• Universitätsabschluss in Informatik, Systems Engineering oder vergleichbar.
• Mindestens vier Jahre Berufserfahrung in Design, Aufbau und Betrieb moderner Cloud-/AI-Infrastrukturen.
• Praxis mit AWS, Azure und GPU-Clustern (NVIDIA, CUDA, NCCL, InfiniBand).
• Starke Programmierkenntnisse in Python; Erfahrung mit IaC, APIs, CI/CD, Automatisierung und Observability.
• Praxis mit PyTorch und verteilten KI-Trainings-Tools wie Ray, Slurm oder Kubernetes.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in Cloud-Sicherheit, IAM, Netzwerk und Plattform-Hardening.

Aufgaben

• Architektur von Cloud- und Hardware-Lösungen zur Skalierung von AI-Workloads.
• Bereitstellung, Betrieb und Skalierung von Produktions‑AI‑Systemen (Feinjustierung, Inferenz, Serving).
• Entwicklung von Plattform-Fähigkeiten (IaC, Observability, Lifecycle-Management).
• Entwurf robuster Datenpipelines und AI-Datenflüsse für kontinuierliches Lernen.

You architect cloud and hardware solutions to scale AI workloads across GPUs and accelerators, while optimizing storage and networking for throughput, resilience, and cost efficiency.

Furthermore, you engineer, deploy, and operate production‑grade AI systems for fine‑tuning, inference, and scalable serving of modern AI and Industry Foundation Models.

In addition, you build and evolve platform capabilities for reliable deployments, Infrastructure as Code, observability, monitoring, and continuous model lifecycle management.

Moreover, you design scalable data pipelines and AI data flywheels that provide high‑quality data and enable continuous learning.

Additionally, you design robust AI services and integrate them into enterprise platforms while ensuring security, reliability, and operational excellence.

Finally, you design secure‑by‑default AI infrastructure and implement identity and access management, infrastructure hardening, secrets management, and security controls for enterprise AI platforms.

What should you bring along?

University degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.

At least four years of professional experience designing, building, and operating modern cloud, AI, or platform infrastructure in production environments.

Hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, and high‑performance GPU clusters, including NVIDIA GPUs, CUDA, NCCL, and InfiniBand.

Strong programming skills in Python with experience in Infrastructure as Code, APIs, CI/CD, automation, and observability.

Practical experience with PyTorch and distributed AI training technologies such as Ray, Slurm, or Kubernetes.

Strong understanding of cloud security, enterprise infrastructure security, identity and access management, networking, and platform hardening.

Commitment to continuous learning, including current developments in AI infrastructure, cloud platforms, platform engineering, cybersecurity, and emerging AI technologies.
