Join Huawei's Automotive Engineering Lab (AEL) as: AI Expert for Autonomous Driving Safety (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Explore AI solutions to enhance the safety of autonomous driving systems, pushing the boundaries of current technology.
• Develop risk assessment algorithms utilizing AI techniques.
• Adapt and extend neural network architectures to address safety-related challenges in autonomous driving.
• Keep abreast of the latest AI technologies, industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Your areas of expertise

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of AI systems, neural networks, hardware/software platforms for AI, and performance evaluation.
• Practical experience applying AI to safety-critical functions.
• Proactive attitude and team motivation skills.
• Knowledge of autonomous driving algorithms, including driving policies, end-to-end networks, and foundational models, is a plus.
• Proficiency in English; German and/or Chinese are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel abroad up to 25% of the time.
