German Role Overview
Position Purpose
She/He will work on general accounting matters related to our operational company in Germany (production and projects). Main tasks include external activities (collaboration with external administrative service providers) and internal activities (coordination with internal operational functions like HR and reporting to headquarters/management). This role combines accounting, controlling, and treasury functions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparation of Financial Statements: Independently preparing periodic financial statements in accordance with HGB.
- General & Asset Accounting: Managing the general ledger and asset accounting for multiple group companies, including creating and maintaining assets.
- Financial Process Control: Implementing documentation and monitoring of statistics and controls within the financial processes for the internal control system.
- Internal and External Liaison: Acting as the contact person for internal business areas, external auditors, and tax auditors.
- Payments and Payroll: Managing and processing national and international payments, including weekly payment runs and payroll administration.
- Reporting: Creating and maintaining local statistics or reports, e.g., for regulatory filings, regional projects, internal controls, or industry-specific surveys.
- Bank Operations: Managing interactions with banks and handling treasury tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completed business studies or equivalent qualification (e.g., certification as an accountant).
- At least 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a medium-sized manufacturing or project-driven company.
- Strong accounting knowledge; HGB expertise is essential.
- Excellent SAP skills, including FI, CO, MM, AA, SD modules.
- Fluent German and English skills (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience in managing assets, preparing reports for local statistics, and handling payments and payroll.
- Team-oriented, structured, and solution-focused working style.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of IFRS is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills.
