What you´ll do

Design and Development of Drone Systems

  • Lead the design and development of UAV components, including airframes, propulsion systems, and embedded structures.
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to optimize drone performance.
  • Design and simulate structural elements using tools such as Hypermesh, Radioss, Abaqus, and Catia V5.

Integration and Testing

  • Oversee the integration of mechanical and electronic systems in UAVs.
  • Plan and execute structural, aerodynamic, and environmental tests, including vibration and flutter mode analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate designs and improve system performance.

Project Management and Collaboration

  • Work with R&D teams to innovate and enhance drone technologies.
  • Engage with suppliers and partners to ensure the quality and compatibility of components.
  • Support the development of tools and methods to improve design and testing processes.

Sustainability and Efficiency Initiatives

  • Contribute to projects focused on optimizing UAV energy consumption and reducing environmental impact.
  • Develop tools for sustainable drone operations, including green propulsion systems and lightweight designs.

What you´ll need

  • Master’s Degree in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering (ESTACA or equivalent).
  • Relevant internships or professional experience (2+ year) in the aerospace or drone industry
  • UAV system design and optimization.
  • Experience in RC Flight
  • FEM tools - Hypermesh, Abaqus, Radioss, Optistruct.
  • CFD tools -Fluent, Abaqus.
  • CAD tools - Catia V5, SolidWorks.
  • Programming -Python, Matlab, VBA, Simulink, C/C++.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
