Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a rapidly expanding division within Tata Technologies Limited, working on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace, and Industrial Heavy Machinery sectors.

The Role:

You will have previously held the DOA signatory role. With this experience, you will support Tata Technologies by performing design checks of Electrical System Installation components for our aerospace customer. Prior experience at Airbus is essential for this role.

Area of Responsibility:

• Airbus DOA approver signature role for ATA 928 / 929 or 923 / 924 / 925 in ESI perimeter.
• Support and advise on concept studies and trade-off studies.
• Propose and implement improvements in System Installation, impacting weight, lead-time, and cost.
• Ensure consistency between the Configured DMU and the design intent for Airbus activities.
• Network and liaise with various Airframe, Systems, and Cabin sub-domains, including Industrialization and Standardization.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Airbus Electrical System Installation rules and DMU knowledge.
• Troubleshoot technical queries raised by the internal team.
• Work with onsite/onshore and offshore teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including process, automation, and digitalization.
• Perform A1020 approver signature on DWG / DD (ATA92 and relevant sub-ATA’s).
• Stay up-to-date with Airbus Golden rules & TRM.
• Review and validate RCA.
• Manage and periodically review checklists.
• Support QIM and Quality exchange activities.

Knowledge / Experience:

• Experience working on A320 / SA Airbus Program; knowledge of processes, methods, and tools in other Airbus programs (A330 / A350 / A380) is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Airbus tools, methods, and processes, including SIDP / TDD standards, Configuration Management, ESI Design, and harness migration to CATIA V5.
• Experience with harness installation drawing creation, Proptool, CIRCE, and other related tools.
• Understanding of functional electrics and support activities.
