Job description
Tasks
- Perform static strength and fatigue analyses (F&DT) on metal and composite structures according to aerospace standards
- Analysis of mechanical loads using classic calculation methods and modern simulation techniques
- Perform functional analyses and determine loads for door mechanisms using multi-body dynamics simulations
- Prepare technical verification documentation to support approval and certification
- Support the evaluation of feasibility studies, Trade studies as well as design and production optimization
- Analysis of test results and validation of simulations by comparison with real load values
- Close cooperation with design, production and test departments to ensure that the results are correct, manufacturing and test departments to ensure technical feasibility
- Identification of improvement potentials to optimize components in terms of weight, strength and functionality
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace
- Several years of professional experience in engineering and aerospace industry required
- Sound knowledge of certification regulations for metal and composite materials required
- Experience in strength analysis as well as fatigue and damage tolerance processes is required
- Confident handling of the definition, Design and load calculation of structural mechanical components and assemblies
- Very good user knowledge with Python and MS Office as well as sound expertise with HyperWorks, HyperMesh and Nastran required, know-how in ISAMI and Catia V5
- Fluent German and English (min. C1 level), knowledge of French is desirable
- Valid, unrestricted work permit for the EU (not a student visa) is mandatory
