At NavVis we believe that high quality products are built in a high quality work environment. As the major innovator in the field of indoor scanning, NavVis developed the most advanced Indoor Mobile Mapping System in the world and is looking for you to help building the software that runs on our devices as well as supervising the calibration procedure during the production process.


You will work on:

  1. Building, testing, improving and maintaining the software and processes to calibrate our Indoor Mobile Mapping Systems (IMMS)
  2. The full life-cycle of the calibration process from ideation to the roll-out into production
  3. Identifying, escalating and resolving issues with our calibration processes and tools - in close collaboration with our production team
  4. Creating, maintaining, and improving the technical documentation for calibration
  5. All kinds of components running our mobile mapping system, including sensors, calibration and SLAM
  6. Supervising and guiding the production team during the calibration process

You have:

  1. Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar
  2. 3+ years of experience in the field of calibration of sensors in general and ideally experience with sensors and sensor models for cameras, laser scanners / LIDARs and IMUs
  3. or a PhD in computer science, electrical engineering (or similar) and self-taught top-notch coding skills
  4. Strong skills in C++ development and related tools in a professional context
  5. Very good coding skills in Python, ideally in a professional context
  6. Proficiency in using Linux and the command line
  7. Great love for data quality and a passion for improving processes and workflows

You are:

  1. Enjoying working with multiple platforms and stacks

  3. Collaborative within and across teams, creative, and communicative
  4. Fluent in English

We will be thrilled if you have:

  1. Experience with C++ Libraries like Ceres, ROS, Boost, Eigen, OpenCV, PCL or likewise
  2. Experience in modelling and solving hard optimization problems especially around the geometry of 2D / 3D correspondences
  3. A background in maintaining and deploying software
  4. Extra credits: Experience in maintaining or contributing to open-source software, e.g. on GitHub
