Job Description:

As a major innovator in indoor scanning, NavVis has developed the most advanced Indoor Mobile Mapping System in the world. We are looking for you to help build the software that runs on our devices and supervise the calibration procedures during production.

More specifically, you will:

• Build, test, improve, and maintain software and processes for calibrating our Indoor Mobile Mapping Systems (IMMS).
• Manage the full calibration process lifecycle from ideation to production rollout.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve issues with calibration processes and tools in collaboration with the production team.
• Create and improve technical documentation for calibration.
• Work with components such as sensors, calibration, and SLAM that run our mobile mapping system.
• Supervise and guide the production team during calibration.

You have:

• A master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
• 3+ years of experience in sensor calibration, preferably with sensors and models for cameras, laser scanners/LIDARs, and IMUs.
• Or a PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar, with strong self-taught coding skills.
• Proficiency in C++ development and related tools.
• Excellent coding skills in Python.
• Experience using Linux and command line tools.
• A passion for data quality and process improvement.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Contributions to open-source projects, e.g., on GitHub, are a plus.
