The Advanced Clinical Trainer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and conducting comprehensive advanced clinical training programs related to our existing and future product portfolio and indications. As the subject matter expert, you will support our international clinical field teams and customers on-site during trainings, cases in Cath lab and OR, as well as at customer events such as conferences and other educational events throughout EMEA. You will collaborate closely with the Manager, Advanced Clinical and Innovation Training and the local field team to identify educational needs, develop training programs, and gather feedback on effectiveness and participation. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to achieve the shared goals of improving patient outcomes, driving therapy adoption, and enhancing clinical best practices. The trainer will develop training content to support both internal clinical teams and external healthcare professionals, consistently demonstrating professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead continuous improvement in patient outcomes and therapy adoption through training and clinical best practices.
  • Develop and execute clinical training programs for internal and external audiences.
  • Provide expert clinical support during complex procedures and case certifications in the OR, Cath lab, and ICU.
  • Drive new product launches and customer training events in collaboration with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct onboarding and certification training, including Impella Product Training (IPT).
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of training and certification programs.
  • Update training materials to reflect current best practices.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or other Clinical fields (e.g., Cardiovascular Technician, Perfusion, Heart Failure Specialist).
Experience and Skills:
  • Extensive experience in Cath Lab, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and/or ICU/CCU.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the Impella heart pump portfolio and other MCS devices.
  • Excellent didactic skills with experience in delivering complex content to diverse audiences.
  • Recognized as a clinical expert with a strong desire to impact patient outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills for discussing products and therapy in an academic environment.
  • Ability to positively influence all levels and collaborate constructively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, results-oriented, open-minded, team-oriented, and approachable.
  • Proficient in English and at least one additional language (business fluent in both oral and written communication).
  • Willingness to travel at least 75% internationally.
