Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk is seeking an organised administrator to join the Democratic Services team, providing support to Elected Members and coordinating council meetings, communications and democratic information.
The role includes live-streaming meetings, managing Teams, AV, minutes, agendas, and Modern.Gov updates, with handling invoices, expenses and general enquiries, and occasional evening meetings.
We have an excellent opportunity for an organised and adaptable individual to join our Democratic Services team. This varied role provides administrative support to the team and Elected Members, helping to ensure Council meetings, Member communications and democratic information are well coordinated, accessible and delivered to a high standard.
You will support the organisation and live-streaming of formal Council meetings, manage Microsoft Teams arrangements, assist with presentations and audio/visual issues, and ensure meetings are recorded for public viewing. You will also help maintain information on Modern.Gov, support agendas, minutes and reports, coordinate Member communications including the Members' Bulletin, and assist with registers, invoices, expenses and general enquiries.
We are looking for someone with a good standard of education, office experience and strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Teams. You will communicate confidently with officers, Elected Members and the public, work accurately to deadlines, handle confidential and politically sensitive information professionally, and be flexible to support evening meetings when required.
Starting salary between £24414 and £28152 per annum (plus cost of living)
Full Time - 37 hours per week
