Overview of the Role:

As an Active Directory & Email Systems Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our Linux-based email infrastructure. This position is essential to supporting seamless communication across the organization and safeguarding critical data. You will be responsible for administering Postfix mail servers, implementing robust security measures, and collaborating with cross‑functional IT teams to deliver integrated solutions that align with the client’s business objectives.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Postfix mail servers on Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Continuously monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and execute system optimizations to guarantee consistent email delivery.
• Implement and manage comprehensive email security protocols, including anti‑spam, anti‑virus, and authentication mechanisms.
• Configure and oversee email accounts, aliases, mailing lists, and distribution groups to support business needs.
• Establish and manage email backup routines and disaster recovery plans to protect organizational data.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to integrate email systems with infrastructure components such as LDAP directories, DNS, and firewalls.
• Provide prompt technical support to end‑users, resolving email‑related issues efficiently.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and security vulnerabilities to ensure systems remain current and secure.

Skill Requirements:

• Proven experience in Linux system administration, specifically with email server management.
• In‑depth knowledge of Postfix configuration and administration.
• Strong understanding of email security practices and anti‑spam/anti‑virus solutions.
• Solid grasp of networking concepts and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and process improvement.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+) are highly desirable.
• Experience integrating email systems with LDAP, DNS, and firewalls is an advantage.
