As an Accounting Specialist at mutelabs, you will be responsible for:

1. Accounting & Compliance
2. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions following HGB and tax regulations.
3. Maintain an up-to-date accounting system to facilitate smooth monthly closings and external reporting.
4. Support governance adherence and help implement improvements in financial controls.

1. Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
2. Oversee customer invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments.
3. Ensure that all supplier invoices are correctly processed and paid on time.
4. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure that every cash transaction is properly documented.

1. Process Optimization & System Integration
2. Contribute to the automation and digitization of accounting processes leveraging AI-driven tools for efficiency gains.
3. Ensure smooth operation and integration of our accounting systems: DATEV, LucaNet, Candis, and Agicap.
4. Work closely with the entire mutelabs team to adapt systems and processes to evolving business needs.

This is what you bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in a small or growing company.
• Proficiency in accounting tools such as DATEV, LucaNet, Candis, and Agicap (or equivalents).
• Working knowledge of HGB and VAT regulations.
• Experience working with external accounting and taxation providers.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of German is a plus but not required.
