Accounting Principles Consultant mfd REF80420S

As Consultant Accounting Principles & External Reporting (m / f / diverse), you will be the contact for our various internal stakeholders as well as our external auditors with respect to specific accounting issues.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of the accounting for specific parts of the Annual Report and Quarterly Reports and contact for internal and external auditors.
• Handling of Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, and case-related accounting issues including coordination for required input.
• Prepare, advise, and direct internal stakeholders to act in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for external reporting and apply basic accounting principles and internal guidelines.
• Subject matter expert for accounting issues.
• Updates of the Accounting Guidelines (Financial Reporting Manual) and Definition of Group Accounting Policies.
• Continuous monitoring of accounting standards regarding legal requirements or internal issues.
• Provide training on Accounting issues.
• Participation in projects e.g., implementation of new accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Economics with a focus on Finance and Accounting.
• Profound professional experience at an accounting firm or in the financial and accounting department of an industrial company.
• Several years of professional experience with the preparation of consolidated financial statements, preferably for a globally acting company.
• Business fluent English and German language skills.
• Analytical skills.
• Intercultural sensitivity and very good cross-culture communication and understanding.
