Accounting Manager, Freising, Germany

MRCG, part of RFMW, a world–class specialist distributor of high-performance RF and microwave components, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join the team in Freising.

In this pivotal role, you will ensure financial integrity across both MRC Components and MRC Gigacomp, supporting operations across multiple countries.

Reporting to the Divisional Finance Director, you’ll lead a small local team and take a hands-on approach to all core finance functions. This is a unique opportunity to step into a broad, high-impact role within a dynamic and growing global organisation.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the monthly close process, delivering accurate financial reports to tight deadlines.
  • Oversee payroll, statutory reporting, and external audits in coordination with partners.
  • Ensure full tax compliance and regulatory reporting across entities.
  • Play a leading role in financial audits.
  • Deliver timely management reporting to Sales and Operations leaders.
  • Support budgeting, incentive planning, and cost control initiatives.
  • Ensure Intrastat, customs, and statistical reporting compliance.
  • Play a critical role in M&A activity and cross-border operations.


What You Will Bring:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Completed commercial apprenticeship and ideally further training as a financial accountant or a comparable additional qualification in accounting (for example IHK Fachkraft Rechnungswesen or similar, plus 5 years post-qualification experience)


Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years in accounting or finance, ideally in a mid-to-senior level role.
  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and tax law.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, accounting standards, tax compliance and customs (German context).
  • Experience with multi-currency environments.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and Intacct is a plus.
  • A commercially minded, detail-oriented leader who thrives under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel as required by the role.
