Job Description:

The company operates 15 factories across Asia, Europe, and the United States, with a production capacity exceeding 75 million shock absorbers annually. KYB exports to over 100 countries.

We are seeking to support our Finance & Accounting Department in Aschheim (Munich) by hiring an:

Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Senior Manager and Manager of Finance & Accounting by ensuring accurate, complete, and reliable accounting data for financial statements, reporting, and VAT filings through:

  1. Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including preparing lists and GL postings of accruals, also for foreign branches.
  2. Organizing financial closures by preparing and conducting checklists.
  3. Reconciling accounting records with sales software and ledger accounts.
  4. Preparing monthly reports for Japan and responding to relevant requests.
  5. Processing GL postings accurately and promptly.
  6. Compiling specific reports such as monthly VAT filings, ZM, Intrastat, and other statistical reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  7. Reconciliation of bank accounts.
  8. Monthly posting of salary lists.
  9. Preparing, checking, and maintaining evidence for JSOX compliance.
  10. Conducting analyses for ad-hoc requests.
  11. Processing requests and invoices using internal workflow tools.
  12. Updating relevant process manuals.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably trained as an accountant/tax assistant or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an accounting department.
  • Knowledge of VAT filings, ZM, Intrastat, and proactive handling of these tasks.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, accurate, analytical, well-organized, autonomous, entrepreneurial, and solution-oriented.
  • Team player willing to support colleagues.
  • Trustworthy, honest, and demonstrating integrity.
  • Proactive, forward-thinking, and hands-on attitude.
  • Open-minded with a positive attitude.
  • Committed to meeting internal and external deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with ERP systems; QAD experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of JSOX regulations is advantageous.
