Qualifikationen

Your responsibilities

As an Accountant, you will report to our Finance & Operations Lead. We are looking for someone to:

  • Process and track all payments
  • Own payroll processing
  • Conduct month-end closing procedures
  • Handle account assignment and posting of current business transactions (AP, AR, Bank)
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT reports (UStVA)
  • Prepare and post additional journal entries (accruals, deferrals, reclassifications)
  • Perform monthly account reconciliation (Bank, Payhawk, pRAP, OPOS)
  • Support financial forecasting and projections
  • Prepare monthly financial reports

Qualifications include:

  • A completed vocational training as an Accountant (“Finanzbuchhalter”), a Bachelor/Master degree is a plus
  • Work experience in accounting for 3-5 years
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in German is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (HGB, IFRS) and tax regulations
  • Reliable and independent handling of tax and VAT requirements
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in bookkeeping programs, preferably DATEV (Rechnungswesen), and spend management platforms like Payhawk, Candis, or Spendesk
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diligence and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and liaise with different departments
