Zusammenfassung

Freudenberg Group is seeking an experienced finance professional to support the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with HGB and IFRS. You will collaborate with auditors, prepare VAT returns, ESLs, and Intrastat reports while delivering timely monthly and quarterly management information.

The role requires extensive SAP FI/CO experience within a corporate group and a proactive mindset for process improvements.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
• Experience with SAP in FI/CO modules.
• Experience in implementing and managing accounting-related projects and process improvements.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.

Aufgaben

• Support the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.

• Prepare and analyze VAT returns, ESLs and Intrastat reports.
• Independently prepare monthly and quarterly reports for selected companies within the EagleBurgmann Group.
• Take ownership of selected accounting processes and projects, driving improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation and flowcharts, and support internal controls.
• Contribute to enhancement of accounting-related processes and tools, improving workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Statements: Support the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS , ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• External Audits: Handle inquiries from external auditors, compile relevant documentation and information, and support the efficient and timely execution of audit processes.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and analyze VAT returns as well as EC Sales Lists (ESL) and Intrastat reports, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
• Monthly and Quarterly Reporting: Independently prepare monthly and quarterly reports for selected companies within the EagleBurgmann Group, providing an important basis for management decision-making.
• Processes and Projects: Take ownership of selected accounting processes and projects, actively driving their further development and optimization.
• Controls and Documentation: Maintain up-to-date process documentation and flowcharts, and support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls within your area of responsibility.
• Digital Tools: Contribute to the enhancement and implementation of accounting-related processes and tools, supporting the continuous improvement of workflows and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• Accounting Expertise: Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally within a larger corporate group environment.
• Professional Knowledge: Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
• SAP Skills: Advanced SAP knowledge in the FI/CO modules, ideally including experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Project and Process Management: Experience in implementing and managing accounting-related projects, combined with a strong interest in process improvement and optimization.
• Independent Working Style: A self-reliant, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work, with a willingness to take ownership and responsibility.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and appropriately to different audiences.
• Digital Proficiency: Confident user of standard Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
