A leading engineering firm in Heilbronn is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial operations, oversee financial postings, and collaborate directly with international teams. This role requires fluency in German and English, along with a solid understanding of accounting standards (HGB, IFRS) and proficiency in SAP FI. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement and a focus on a culture of safety and inclusivity.
Accountant – 12 month fixed-term contract in Heilbronn, Germany (Weir Minerals). Hybrid
Weir Minerals Germany needs an accountant to be the primary point of contact for all finance related activities in Germany. This role reports into the UK Financial Controller and will work closely with the UK finance team. The accountant will oversee all financial postings in the company’s SAP system and ensure that the right financial controls and processes are in place.
The accountant will work with the WBS shared service team in respect of accounts payable, cash applications and month end activities. This person will also work with KPMG and Deloitte in the preparation of indirect and direct tax returns and be a key point of contact for the tax authorities, auditors and the bank. This role will support the UK finance team in respect of cash collections and customer disputes. The accountant will work with the wider business / finance team on other ad-hoc requests as required.
