Overview

Milano Vice is a digital food startup on a mission to reinvent gastronomy. We started as a virtual brand and now operate our own physical stores, combining digital excellence with real-world experiences. Our goal is to become the leading pizza brand for a new generation of consumers.

Beyond classic accounting, you’ll lead projects to design and implement processes and tools that can scale with our rapid growth, with DATEV as the backbone of our accounting setup. Working closely with our Finance and Operations teams, you’ll ensure that our financial infrastructure is robust, efficient, and ready to support Milano Vice’s expansion journey. If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated to build systems that create long-term impact in a fast-moving startup environment, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of accounting operations in DATEV, including bookkeeping, payables, receivables, reconciliations, and monthly/annual closings.
• Lead projects to design and implement scalable processes and tools that strengthen our financial infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with German accounting, tax, and reporting standards.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and Operations teams to integrate accounting with business operations.
• Support auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders with accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
• Proficiency in DATEV is a must, with hands-on experience in managing accounting workflows.
• Strong understanding of German GAAP (HGB) and tax regulations.
• Fluent in German and English (both required).
• Detail-oriented, structured, and reliable with a proactive mindset.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment or startup is a plus.
