Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Train Electrical Domain Lead (f / m / d) in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?

Your Future Role

2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape the future of rail mobility in Hennigsdorf. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our corporate functions support and continuously improve the performance of our sites. You’ll report to the Train Electrical Metier Manager, Patrick Mösch, and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

We’re looking for you to:

  • Lead the team for EHI (Electrical Harness Integration) with up to 20 engineers
  • Allocate resources effectively to projects, programs, and tenders
  • Manage the development of the Domain team to ensure capacity matches workload and skills, and facilitate transfer of activities if needed
  • Apply and follow up on the Alstom People Management Cycle, conducting performance reviews
  • Ensure understanding and application of TE rules, processes, and tools
  • Collaborate properly with other Domains, Metier, and Departments
  • Organize support from other Alstom sites and external engineering contractors
  • Define mitigation plans for risks identified within the Domain scope
  • Support the Domain team in issue resolution and challenge actions involving stakeholders
  • Report on Domain activities and progress, alerting on major issues
  • Propose continuous improvements for the Domain and Metier
  • Collaborate with the Central Engineering team
  • Supervise working students and contribute to R&D projects
  • Manage planning, costs, and deliverables of bids (depending on profile)
  • Provide technical support, concept work, and manage bid project teams (depending on profile)

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. Here are some skills that will help you succeed:

  • 5+ years of engineering experience in Railway products (or Automotive or Aerospace domains)
  • At least 2 years of team management experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conflict management and multitasking abilities
  • Structured, organized, with a hands-on approach

Ideally, you have knowledge of:

  • 3D design (CATIA V5)
  • Train systems and functions, industrialization of rail vehicles, and cable harness production and routing
