We are looking for a dedicated sales and accounts professional to help us build and improve our relationships with our important clients.

The account manager will position Emerson with its Systems & Software Solutions as the supplier of first choice for the defined accounts. They will work collaboratively with inside sales, customer support, and engineering to establish solid and long-term relationships with new and existing customers at all levels of their business.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Achieve and exceed sales, bookings, and gross profit targets for the Systems and Solutions Group’s products, services, and solutions at defined accounts;
  • Visit new and existing customers to promote the entire solution portfolio and services;
  • Seek new opportunities to sell assigned products, solutions, and services to new customers;
  • Develop and implement account strategies and plans to grow our business in assigned accounts and sites;
  • Build credibility and positive relationships with customers to gain insights into their business;
  • Identify expansion and greenfield projects early and support Project Pursuit to maximize chances of winning;
  • Proactively seek growth opportunities to increase Emerson's participation;
  • Negotiate contracts within delegated authority, including discounts, pricing, and volume structures;
  • Increase face-to-face and remote communication with customers and collaborate with inside sales and operations;
  • Provide input for proposals and participate in commercial discussions to ensure project wins;
  • Deliver accurate order forecasts via CRM;
  • Utilize sales productivity tools like CRM, DMS, and Decision Support Tool effectively.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering;
  • Proven experience (years or more) in sales or account management;
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans with strong business insight and results orientation;
  • Proficiency in MS-Office tools;
  • Willingness to travel frequently (percentage to be specified).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Additional education in business administration;
  • Experience in selling software solutions;
  • Experience in the life sciences industry is a plus.
