Zusammenfassung

Ulm University sucht eine/n Akademische/n Mitarbeiter/in (m/w/d) mit Promotion in Mathematik. Sie forschen an raumzeitlichen stochastischen Modellen und arbeiten mit KI-basierten Methoden wie Generative Adversarial Networks.

Die Stelle ist befristet auf zwei Jahre und bietet eine PostDoc-Stipendiumsmöglichkeit. Voraussetzungen sind exzellente Englischkenntnisse, eigenständiges Arbeiten und starke Programmierkompetenzen in Python, Matlab oder R.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Mathematik erforderlich.
• Programmierkenntnisse in Python, Matlab oder R bevorzugt.
• Englische Sprachkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.
• Ausgeprägte Selbstständigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit.

Aufgaben

• Forschung zu räumlicher stochastischer Modellierung von mikroskopischen Bilddaten in 2D, 3D und 4D.
• Anwendung KI-basierter Methoden wie generative gegnerische neuronale Netze.

Your profile:

• PhD degree in mathematics
• Strong programming skills in Python, Matlab or R are preferred
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• High level of commitment and the ability to work independently and reliably

Your responsibilities:

• Research on spatial stochastic modeling of microscopic image data in 2D, 3D and 4D
• Usage of AI-based methods such as generative adversarial neural networks

We offer:

• Interdisciplinary research projects with various kinds of materials and partner groups
• PostDoc scholarship for two years with the possibility of prolongation by one year
