About the role:

Lifecycle management of SAP products (transport, update, patch, upgrade installation....) is essential part for the success of SAP products on the market, both in the classic on-premise business and in the cloud. Customers expect a "zero-impact" upgrade/update and trouble-free operation. In the Software Logistic team, we have developed procedures to bring the majority of customers, on-premise and in the cloud, close to "zero" downtime with automated procedures. These solutions are available to SAP customers on a project basis, and we would like to make these procedures generally available to SAP customers in 2021. We are growing and therefore looking for developers to join our team, to develop new features as well as support continues improvement of the downtime optimised procedures for ABAP-based systems.

What You'll Do

As an Senior ABAP Developer (f/m/d) you will:

• Discover and discuss innovative requirements with our SAP internal stakeholders
• Identify the appropriate solution design and implement the solution together with your scrum team members in a collaborative approach and in an international, cross-cultural environment

What You Bring

• 5+ years of related professional experience
• Strong background in SAP upgrades and conversions, combined with solid SAP Basis knowledge.
• Extensive experience in managing technical aspects of SAP system upgrades, enhancements, and migrations.
• Deep understanding of SAP Basis administration, ABAP development, and the ability to ensure smooth transitions during upgrade and conversion projects
• Knowledge of SAP Application Modules like FI and Logistics is a plus
• Bachelor or Master degree for example in area of Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, etc.
• Development expertise in an object-oriented language(s). Knowledge in ABAP and SQL are additional advantage
• Interest and experience gained so far in current technology trends, for example: expertise in cloud architecture, web services, etc.
• Posession of good analytical skills, collaboration and work in the team, time management
• Very good German and English language skills - verbal and written
