3D Designer & Animator – Structural Biology

Their mission is to help clients fully leverage the potential of structural biology through tailored solutions.

The Opportunity: My client is seeking a talented 3D Designer and Animator to create compelling visualizations of complex biomolecular structures.

The role offers a chance to contribute to both scientific communication and marketing initiatives across digital and VR platforms.

It’s an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about both design and life sciences. (Life sciences knowledge is a plus)

Key Responsibilities:

Design high-quality illustrations and animations of biomolecules such as proteins and membranes.

Develop visual content for client projects, websites, social media, and VR applications.

Lead design projects independently from initial concept to final delivery, collaborating with commercial and marketing teams.

Essential Candidate Profile:

Degree in Multimedia Design, Industrial Design, Animation & Games, Motion Pictures, or a related field (BSC, MSC or similar)

Proficient in Blender and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

German and very good English language skills are required.

Desired/Nice to have:

Experience with VR/AR technologies and 3D printing is highly desirable.

Basic understanding of biological or scientific topics is an advantage.

Strong organizational skills, independent work ethic, and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and team orientation.

Additional:

Flexible hybrid working model ( up to 2 days home office per week).
