Scientific / postdoctoral posts

Starting from 12.08.2025, the research group "Research for Sustainable Energy Technologies" (RESET) conducts research on energy generation and storage technologies, focusing on electrochemical storage systems like Power-to-X and batteries. The position involves developing and managing energy technology fields, assessing and optimizing environmental impacts of emerging energy technologies, especially synthetic fuels and energy storage (P2X). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting life cycle sustainability assessments (prospective LCA, LCC, Social-LCA) for new energy technologies, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Developing tools, models, and databases to support sustainability and life cycle assessments, supporting LCA-Lab.
  • Collaborating on national and EU projects to integrate sustainability into product design and decision-making.
  • Identifying opportunities for environmental improvements and resource optimization, including circular economy approaches.
  • Communicating results and recommendations to stakeholders and project partners.
  • Preparing reports, publications, presentations, and organizing workshops.
