We are looking for our subsidiary HandyGames Studios GmbH in Giebelstadt/Germany (on-site only) a talented and motivated 2D/3D Game Artist (Mid-level/Senior) (f/m/d) who strengthens our team with expertise, creativity, and a hands-on mentality.
Work closely with artists, game designers, and programmers to bring our game ideas to life together and create content for PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and more.
- Development and implementation of both original and predefined visual concepts into top-tier 2D and 3D assets
- Execution of the entire game asset creation workflow: from high- and low-poly modeling to PBR texturing and integration into the game engine (Unity)
- Creation of stylized 3D models, environments, props, and potentially characters
- Contribution to other game art areas such as concept art, UI art, visual effects (VFX), and animations
- Cross-functional collaboration and coaching: mentoring junior artists and interns, as well as maintaining continuous communication with designers, developers, and other art departments
- Ensuring high visual quality and consistency in alignment with the Art Direction Style Guide

- Several years of professional experience (at least 3 years for Mid-level or 5 years for Senior) as a 2D/3D Game Artist in game development (ideally on console or PC games)
- Outstanding illustrative skills in game art, digital art, and concept art, as well as an excellent sense of architecture, color, lighting, form, and composition
- Strong adaptability to various illustration styles, especially in the stylized domain
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max) and Adobe Photoshop
- Solid knowledge of the PBR workflow and modern texturing tools
- Hands-on experience with the Unity game engine (asset import, material and asset setup, scene building)
- Experience in areas such as UI design and UI art, rigging, animation, or VFX is a major plus
- Self-motivated, structured, and responsible way of working, combined with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for video games
- Fluent written and spoken English skills
- Openness to AI and AI tools to optimize workflows
