Zusammenfassung

BMKGENE Europe is seeking a research associate to perform end-to-end single-cell sequencing workflows, including sample processing, dissociation, and library preparation. You will optimize experiments on platforms such as 10x Genomics and contribute to data generation.

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree with hands-on lab experience, be proficient in flow cytometry and PCR/qPCR, and communicate results clearly within a collaborative team in Münster.

Jobbeschreibung

• Perform end-to-end single-cell sequencing workflows, including sample processing, single-cell dissociation, single-nucleus preparation, cell sorting, quality assessment, and library preparation.
• Execute and optimize single-cell experiments using platforms such as 10x Genomics, PARSE, or other single-cell technologies.
• Conduct molecular biology experiments including PCR, qPCR, nucleic acid extraction/purification, and NGS-related workflows.
• Handle human and mouse tissue samples and optimize protocols for challenging samples to improve experimental performance and data quality.
• Operate laboratory instruments including flow cytometers (FACS), cell counters, PCR/qPCR systems, and other molecular biology equipment.
• Analyze experimental results, maintain accurate laboratory records, prepare reports, and communicate findings with internal teams and customers when required.
• Troubleshoot experimental issues, improve laboratory workflows, and contribute to the development and validation of single-cell methodologies.
• Collaborate with research teams and support the training or supervision of junior team members when needed.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant hands‑on laboratory experience.
• Hands‑on experience with single‑cell sequencing platforms (10x Genomics or equivalent) and related experimental workflows.

Experience in

• Single‑cell suspension preparation and tissue dissociation (human/mouse tissues)
• Flow cytometry/FACS operation
• Molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, purification, and NGS workflows
• Experience with protocol optimization, troubleshooting, and laboratory SOPs.
• Familiarity with organoids, recombinant AAV, screening, or low‑input molecular assays is a plus.
• Basic experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Prism, Spotfire, or equivalent) and interest in bioinformatics is preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a research environment.
• Willingness to travel when required.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
