German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbruecke (DIfE) seeks a Computational Biologist/Bioinformatician to join teams studying how obesity and type 2 diabetes reshape the epigenome. You will work with mouse models and translational validation in humans to identify disease genes and epigenetic changes.
You will perform integrative analyses of multiomics data, develop clear visualizations, and communicate insights to lab scientists and collaborators in an interdisciplinary environment.
The German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbruecke (DIfE) is a member of the Leibniz Association. The institute’s mission is to conduct experimental and clinical research in the field of nutrition and health, with the aim of understanding the molecular basis of nutrition-dependent diseases, and of developing new strategies for treatment and prevention.
We are looking for a highly motivated Computational Biologist/Bioinformatician to join our teams, which focus on understanding how obesity and type 2 diabetes reshape the epigenome, with the goal of identifying disease-associated genes and epigenetic alterations. Using lean and obese mouse models and translational validation in humans, we investigate how interventions such as intermittent fasting, endurance training, and bariatric surgery can modulate disease-induced molecular changes.
The advertised position is available for 1 year.
