German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbruecke (DIfE) in Germany seeks a Computational Biologist/Bioinformatician to drive end-to-end analysis of multiome data and translate findings into actionable insights. You will work with mice models and human validation, applying cutting-edge computational methods and generating clear visual reports.
The role involves collaboration with lab scientists, analysis of transcriptomics and epigenomics, and communicating results to interdisciplinary
The German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbruecke (DIfE) is a member of the Leibniz Association. The institute’s mission is to conduct experimental and clinical research in the field of nutrition and health, with the aim of understanding the molecular basis of nutrition-dependent diseases, and of developing new strategies for treatment and prevention.
We are looking for a highly motivated Computational Biologist/Bioinformatician to join our teams, which focus on understanding how obesity and type 2 diabetes reshape the epigenome, with the goal of identifying disease-associated genes and epigenetic alterations. Using lean and obese mouse models and translational validation in humans, we investigate how interventions such as intermittent fasting, endurance training, and bariatric surgery can modulate disease-induced molecular changes.
The advertised position is available for 1 year.
We promote the employment of people with severe disabilities and are committed to equal opportunities for them. Applicants with severe disabilities will be given preferential consideration if they have the same qualifications.
