SLB in Bogotá seeks an Aftermarket Valves Field Service Technician to perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of industrial valves and actuators in both field and workshop environments. You will diagnose faults, perform tests and calibrations, interpret drawings and P&IDs, and maintain detailed service reports and records while supporting shutdowns and emergency interventions.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of experience in valves, field service, or oil and gas equipment maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with industrial valves and actuators.
• Technical diploma or degree in Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

The Aftermarket Valves Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering field and workshop service activities related to installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial valves and associated systems. The role ensures equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with SLB quality and safety standards while supporting customer operations.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of industrial valves
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs in both field and workshop environments
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble valves and actuators (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric)
• Conduct pressure testing, function testing, and calibration of valve systems
• Interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and engineering documentation
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintenance records
• Support shutdowns, turnaround activities, and emergency field interventions
• Interface with customers to ensure high-quality service delivery and satisfaction
• Ensure full compliance with SLB HSE policies and local regulations
• Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and maintain safe working practices
• Technical diploma or degree in Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in valves, field service, or oil and gas equipment maintenance
• Hands-on experience with industrial valves and actuators
• English profiency
• Open to travel more than >50% of the time
