Cloud Accountant Staffing - Careers is seeking a Latin America-based US Accountant to support fast-growing U.S. companies and CPA firms. This full-time independent contractor role based in Colombia focuses on closing books, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations, delivering plain-English reports.

You will build budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections while standardizing SOPs and automating processes. Strong English, QuickBooks, and U.S. accounting experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of U.S. accounting/bookkeeping experience (public practice or industry)
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online with documented workflows
• Strong English communication, written and client-facing; service-oriented mindset
• Ownership mentality: organized, deadline-driven, manages multiple clients
• Comfortable working U.S. business hours, remote collaboration
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CPA or non-CPA credential welcomed

Responsabilités

• Prepare balance sheets, P&L, and cash-flow statements with variance analysis and plain-English insights
• Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor burn for SMB clients
• Join client calls and translate financials into plain English; flag risks and opportunities
• Maintain organized, audit-ready files and strong documentation across periods and entities
• Drive automation by implementing SOPs, templates, and automation of routine tasks
